Ricky Jones @ Haselour Grange

Ricky Jones's Funeral 2018

St Matthews church and three marquees were filled to capacity for Rickey's funeral on Tuesday 7th August (2018). Ricky had passed away after a short illness, he was very popular among the local commuity and held in high regard by his farming friends and dairy farmers further afield. He was very proud of the fact that he was the third generation to farm Haselour Grange Farm, the family having been there for over 100 years. It was a beautiful service, the hymns reflected Ricky's deep love of the countryside, his sons Rob and Chris gave the euology and his wife, Jan, read a poem 'The Farmer' by Amelia Barr. Ricky will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and workers who have been with him for many years.

The service was conducted by the Rev. John Grice assisted by Revd Nicola Busby and Mrs Sarah Ennis played the organ. And thank you for all those who worked so hard to provide the support making it all possible and to Vaughan Taylor for the sound system all of which made a difference.
